Purpose

tender process, for the supply of an ECM system.
Decision
Decision:
For the reasons set
out in the report and its appendices Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree
to:
i)
Approve the award of a contract at a total value of
£770,000 (VAT exclusive), for the provision of an Electronic
Call Monitoring system to Birdie Care Services Limited for a period
of 3 years with the option to extend annually up to a maximum of 5
years (8 years), commencing on the 12th of May 2024
until 11th May 2032.
ii)
Delegate authority to the Corporate Director of
Adults and Health, in consultation with the Lead Member for Health
and Adult Social Care to exercise any extensions beyond the initial
3 year contract term.
Alternatives
Considered
a)
Do nothing, not awarding the contract- the current contract has one
remaining extension term until May 2026, which the Council does not
wish to utilise as based on market research there has been
significant advancements to the market already and if the Council
waits a further two years, it would mean that the Council cannot
make use of these.
