exercise with residents on the draft Interim
HRA Asset Management Strategy 2023-2025 at Appendix 1, as detailed
at paragraph 4.4 of the report;

ii)
To note the terms of the draft Interim HRA
Asset Management Strategy 2023-2025;

iii)
To note that a further report would be brought to
Cabinet to consider the outcome of the resident consultation and to
finalise and implement the Interim HRA Asset Management Strategy
2023-2025; and

iv)
To note that further reports would be brought to Cabinet in due
course with proposals for the 5 year and 30 year asset management
strategies referred to in paragraph 4.5 of the report.

Alternatives
Considered

i)
Do nothing - this is not an option. As a landlord,
the Council has a duty to:

•
ensure its properties are maintained to a proper
standard

•
ensure effective and appropriate management of its
available financial resources.

ii)
Outsource the management of the assets

•
this is not a preferred option, as it is cost
prohibitive and limits the Council’s ability to ensure that
the assets are maintained in line with legislative
obligations.
