Environment and Planning Cabinet Member

The Environment and Planning Cabinet Member is responsible for executive decisions and policy-making across a range of environmental and planning matters for North Lincolnshire Council. This includes leading on the council's Carbon Neutral Strategy, energy reduction, and air quality management. The Cabinet Member also oversees parks, nature reserves, public rights of way, and countryside access. Key responsibilities extend to strategic planning, housing development, development control, planning enforcement, building control, and environmental improvements. Additionally, this role encompasses emergency planning and civil contingencies, impacting the local environment and community resilience.
