The Leader Portfolio – Place Shaping and Connectivity is responsible for providing overall political leadership and coordinating council policies, strategies, and services. This role includes leading the Cabinet in delivering the policy framework and services to the North Lincolnshire community.
The portfolio covers a wide range of executive decision-making areas, including financial strategy, community leadership, economic growth, digital infrastructure, highways, property investment, and bereavement services. The Leader also has powers to appoint Cabinet members, determine the executive agenda, and make decisions during council recesses, with consultation where appropriate.
