North Lincolnshire Standing Advisory Council

The North Lincolnshire Standing Advisory Council (SACRE) oversees religious education in local authority maintained schools. It develops strategies to improve standards and advises the council on provision and quality. The SACRE also considers and determines applications from community schools to disapply the requirement for collective worship to be wholly or mainly of a Christian character, ensuring pupils still have an entitlement to daily collective worship. Its membership represents a balance of local councillors, faith communities, and the education community, as determined by law.
