Decision

To approve the surrender of the lease of
Ground Floor, Unit 3, St Benedict’s Square, Lincoln, and
grant a new lease in accordance with section 6.6 of the
council’s approved scheme of delegations to officers and
appointment of proper officers.

Reasons for the decision

1.1 To seek approval for a surrender of an
existing lease and grant of a new lease. Unit 3 (Ground Floor), St
Benedict’s Square, Lincoln.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 – The proposal will result in
the council securing a tenant for a 7-year period.

Option 2 – The existing tenant could terminate the lease with
3 months notice and the council could therefore end up with a
vacant unit with associated liability of holding vacant
property.
