To approve the lease of Quibell Park, Brumby
Wood Lane, Scunthorpe in accordance with section 6.6 of the
council’s approved scheme of delegations to officers and
appointment of proper officers.

Reasons for the decision

1.1To approve the lease of Quibell Park,
Brumby Wood Lane, Scunthorpe to The New Show Ground Community
Interest Company.
1.2The lease would facilitate the use as, and further the
development of, a football training centre for Scunthorpe United
Football Club.

Alternative options considered

Do not grant the lease of Quibell Park to The
New Show Ground Community Interest Company.
This will not enable the development of a football training centre
as detailed above. This will affect the sustainability of
Scunthorpe United Football Club. The site would be retained by the
council along with all associated liabilities, responsibilities and
costs.
