Decision

Following use of the framework and a tender
process, to award a corporate contract to Reveal Media for the
purchase of body worn cameras and associated equipment.

Reasons for the decision

The decision to award following tendering via
the ESPO Framework using Lot 7, is based on the supplier meeting or
exceeding the specification within the tender document.
The specification was based upon Home Office Guidance for Body Worn
Cameras and was created in conjunction with NLC IT and GDPR teams
to ensure it met both the needs of the service areas and the
corporate requirements.

Alternative options considered

Only 2 suppliers submitted responses following
the YorTender process. Of those two suppliers, one failed to meet
the camera specification (the requirement to have a video screen
visible on the camera).
The remaining supplier was able to demonstrate that they met the
specification in full and thus will be awarded the contract on a
2+1+1 basis.
