To award the Contract for Lot 9 078, Elsham
Drainage and Resurfacing to the preferred provider.

Reasons for the decision

The response to the tender was considered and
evaluated. The submitted rates were checked against those submitted
for similar works for this financial year. The rates were deemed to
be comparable allowing for inflation and changes to material
costs.

Alternative options considered

To not award the contract. This option would
have put the council in breach of Procurement Regulations and the
council would incur further additional costs for the re-procurement
of this surface.
