Decision

To approve a Licence for part of the Library Square Amenity Land Scunthorpe to Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire (ENL UTC) for an assembly area, in accordance with section 6.6 of the council's approved scheme of delegations of officers and appointment of proper officers.

Reasons for the decision

The Licence of the area will allow ENL UTC to move the 'muster points' to a more appropriate location and free-up the presently used area in the Carlton Street car park for more car parking spaces or other alternative future use.

Alternative options considered

To not grant the Licence for part of the Library Square Amenity Land to ENL UTC.
This may cause difficulties for the ENL UTC and would require the continued use of security fencing until another alternate site is found. None of the amenity area will be affected.
