Decision

To approve the commencement of a procurement
process for new LED stage lighting, to replace high-energy tungsten
fixtures at the Baths Hall, Cutting energy use by an estimated 75%.
Part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero funded
programme to deliver low carbon projects to properties in the North
Lincolnshire Council portfolio.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the council to take advantage of the
substantial energy savings on offer, bringing considerable
financial and environmental savings, while modernising the lighting
used in performances at the Baths Hall.

Alternative options considered

To continue without procuring this lighting,
which would not only mean having to return a large portion of the
grant, but the venue lighting would still need an urgent upgrade
due to age, so considerable outlay would still be required over the
coming years.
