Decision

To nominate the candidates for approval by the
governing body of Bowmandale Primary School, Frederick Gough
School, Froddingham Infant School and Killingholme Primary
School.

Reasons for the decision

The Local Authority Instrument requires and
Local Authority Governor. A skills audit indicated that the skills
match the requirements.

Bowmandale Primary School - the candidate was a former long
standing employee of the school and would be an excellent addition
to the governing body, with all the relevant skills, knowledge and
experience the governing body are looking for. They are highly
recommended for the position.

Frederick Gough School - the candidate was a councillor and also
the current LA Governor and the school were happy to re-appoint the
candidate to their LA Governor position.

Froddingham Infant School - that candidate was an officer of the
Local Authority and would be an excellent addition to the governing
body, with all the relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Killingholme Primary School - the candidate was currently a
co-opted governor and also the Chair of the governing body. The
school wished to appoint them to the LA position to free up the
co-opted vacancy.

Alternative options considered

There were no other candidates to consider for
the LA Governor roles at any of the schools and current candidates
were deemed to be the best fit.
