Decision

That the council appoints the elected members, as stated in option 1 of the report, to the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA) and to the GLCCA Overview & Scrutiny Committee and GLCCA Audit Committee respectively.

Reasons for the decision

This decision seeks to confirm the appointments to the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority; and appoint the elected members to the GLCCA Overview & Scrutiny Committee and Audit Committee

In accordance with Paragraph 3.9 of the council’s Constitution (Officer Scheme of Delegations), the Chief Executive has, following consultation with the Leader of the Council, approved on behalf of council, appointments to Outside Bodies, save those appointed by Council.

Paragraph B13.09 of Article 13 of the Council’s Constitution provides for this delegated decision to be taken by the above-named post holder).

Alternative options considered

To not appoint the councillors to the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA) and to the GLCCA Overview & Scrutiny Committee and GLCCA Audit Committee would result in North Lincolnshire Council having no representation on the bodies listed previously.
