The bond amount securing the agreement under Section 38 of the Highways Act 1980 to be reduced from £120,245.00 to £12,024.50 with effect from 24 August 2026 on ER/Barton/67/07 Development off Falkland Way, Barton, Phase 7.

Reasons for the decision

Following a site inspection, the works are complete, and the site can be placed on a 12 month maintenance period, with the bond being reduced to 10% of the original bond amount.

Alternative options considered

Not reducing the amount of the bond is not standard practice and could be subject to challenge by the developer.
