To
agree that North Northamptonshire Council:
 
Install additional Changing
Place Toilets across the region.  
 
This
second phase has identified five suitable locations including; -
 
LOT 1 = 2 x internal
refurbishments of existing toilets at Irchester Country Park and Wellingborough
Library.
 
LOT 2 = Installation of 3 x
external modular buildings at Chester House, Stanwick Lakes &
Barnwell Country Park.  
 
In
August 2022 external funding of £330k was awarded from the
Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities towards
helping achieve this project.  As part
of the funding criteria, the Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK) are
approving each Changing Place Toilet before they are registered on
the national website. 
 
North
Northamptonshire committed additional funds of £167k from the
capital programme to contribute towards the rising costs,
infrastructure costs and service connections.
 
This
work has been procured in line with NNC’s procurement
processes using a request for quotation form and published on the
Contract Finder. 
 
Phase
1 has delivered the installation of 3 x Changing Place Toilets,
located at The Cube, East Carlton Park
and the GLAM Project. 
 
The
project is managed in line with NNC’s Capital Governance
processes, by the Capital Projects Team.
