It is agreed, under delegated
authority from the Executive on 22nd December 2023 to the Executive
Member for Adults, Health and Wellbeing, in Consultation with the
Executive Director for Adults, Health Partnerships and Housing
that:
 
-         the
legal agreement to undertake the running of the care service at
Thackley Green Specialist Care Centre is entered into and executed
as a deed by affixing the Common Seal of the Council and attested
by the Council’s authorised signatory.
 
-         that the
arrangement between North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) and West
Northamptonshire Council (WNC), is regularised by entering into a
Lease between the parties with NNC as Landlord and WNC as
Tenant.
 
The Executive Director for
Adults, Health Partnerships and Housing, leading the North
Northamptonshire team advising and delivering the operational
transfer of the care service at Thackley Green, in conjunction with
appropriately qualified and experienced property and legal
advisors, have drafted and agreed the main agreement and lease with
West Northamptonshire Council necessary to conclude the transfer of
the care service to North Northamptonshire Council from 01 July
2023.
 
In doing so, officers have
worked to ensure, with best reasonable endeavours to protect the
authorities financial and legal interests of the
council.
