Recommendation

The Executive recommended to full
Council that it:

a)     
Adopts the Corporate Plan as set
out in Appendix A, subject to the inclusion of
the omitted text shown in Appendix E (accessible
version)

b)     
Notes that progress in the
delivery of the outcomes of the Corporate Plan will be regularly
reported to the Corporate Scrutiny Committee via performance
reports.
 
 

Reason for Recommendations –
The Corporate Plan is an important part of the budget and policy
framework for the Council as set out in the Constitution. Having a
Corporate Plan in place that is adopted by full Council provides
clarity and direction to the future activities of the Council. As
the current Corporate Plan runs from 2021 to 2025, a new plan is
necessary.

Alternative Options Considered
– The Council could operate without a Corporate Plan.
However, strategic and policy decision making is guided by the
Corporate Plan, so this is not considered a viable
option.
