That Council:
 

(i)           
Accepts the findings of the Local
Government Association Peer Challenge Progress Review report and
notes the ongoing progress detailed in the action plan contained
within the position statement.

(ii)           
Notes the inclusion of the
recommendations and further actions within the Council’s
Annual Delivery Plan to be agreed by Corporate Leadership Team and
Executive.
 
Reason for decisions – Council fully
considered the positive comments within the CPC Progress Review
report along with the areas of further development opportunities
noted in the report.
 
Alternative Options Considered – To not
formally acknowledge the findings of the Progress Review visit and
action plan. This was not considered a viable option as it is
important for the Council to receive external challenge and
scrutiny to meet its best value obligations and provide the best
service to residents.
