RESOLVED

KEY DECISION

That the Executive approved the
appropriation of eight properties from the Housing General Fund
(GF) to the Housing Revenue Account (HRA), at valuation of
£1.644m, and delegate authority to the Director of Finance
and Performance (Section 151 Officer) to make the necessary
accounting adjustments.

Reasons for Recommendations: To
make best use of resources, improve flexibility as to how these
units can be let, and to meet local demand for long term housing
solutions for large families.

Alternative Options Considered: An
alternative option to do nothing was considered and rejected, this
option would have resulted in the eight larger properties remaining
in the GF to be let as interim / temporary accommodation. The
details on this option are set out at in the issues and choices at
section 5.
