Decision

The Chair invited those who wished to do so to declare any interests in respect of items on the agenda.

No declarations were made.

The Chair proposed that the meeting move to exempt session for Item four on the agenda, and the proposal was seconded by Councillor O’Hara.

Exclusion of the Press and Public

It was RESOLVED that:

Under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the remaining item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information, in respect of the following:

i.      Appointment of Executive Director of Children’s Services (as defined by paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 A of the Act),

 

ii.    and that, in all circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
