Decision
RESOLVED that: The Scrutiny Management Board:
i. Approves the establishment of a Task and Finish Panel to undertake scrutiny of the operation of the Highways Maintenance Contract as set out in the Terms of Reference.
ii. Agrees that the Panel shall comprise 9 Members appointed, in the first instance, from the Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee and the Corporate Scrutiny Committee to ensure cross-party representation and engagement, with membership opened to the wider scrutiny community if the required membership cannot be filled from those Committees.
iii. Requires the findings and recommendations of the Panel to be reported to the Place and Environment Scrutiny Committee in the first instance, with a view that the final recommendations be made to the Executive.
iv. Agrees that resident engagement and evidence should be included in the review from the outset.
