RESOLVED
 
That the Executive:
 

i)              
Endorsed the actions being undertaken to ensure
North Northamptonshire Council meet its duties as set out in
Section 5 of the Care Act 2014.
 

ii)             
Endorsed the improving profile of the external care
market and the support being provided to contracted providers to
ensure people drawing on social care services are enabled to live
active, fulfilled lives and to achieve the outcomes that are
important to them.
 

iii)           
Noted the impact of the commissioning activity
undertaken since vesting day to improve contracted capacity and
quality within the independent care market.
 

iv)           
Noted actions being undertaken to ensure North
Northamptonshire Council meet its duties as set out in Section 5 of
the Care Act 2014.
 
 
Reasons for Recommendation: The report provides an update to
Executive as to how the Council is meeting its statutory duties in
relation to Section 5 of the Care Act 2014. It is recommended that
Executive note the actions taken, the progress made and the
positive impact. There are no proposals for
consideration
 
Alternative Options Considered: As the report provides an update
to Executive, there are no alternative options to be
considered.
