Decision to award Lots 1 and 2
to the supplier who provided the most economically advantageous
tender response, in the recently evaluated procurement process,
which was advertised on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender (as
required by relevant legislation).
Each Lot received three (3)
bids from the same suppliers.
The preferred supplier for each
Lot was determined using an evaluation criterion that was split 60%
Price and 40% Quality.
The winning bidder will provide
the Council with a payment of £30 for each tonne of compliant
kitchen food waste received at their facility. This supports the
Waste Management Team’s approach to offering certain waste
streams as a commodity that has a value to Providers rather than as
a waste product.
