About
The North Yorkshire Police, Fire and Crime Panel is a joint committee of North Yorkshire Council and City of York Council. It provides oversight of the Mayor for York and North Yorkshire's responsibilities for police, fire, and crime. The Panel makes recommendations on senior appointments like the Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer, reviews proposed policing and fire precept increases, and agrees the draft police, fire, and crime plan.
