About
The Petitions Committee considers petitions that affect Northumberland as a whole, excluding those related to planning or licensing applications. It makes recommendations to the full Council, the Cabinet, or other relevant committees, and can also advise officers on delegated matters. In exceptional cases, with the Chair's agreement, the committee can also address petitions concerning local issues. Relevant Cabinet and local division members are invited to attend meetings as non-voting participants.
