The Northumberland County Council meeting scheduled for 14 January 2026 was set to cover a range of important local government matters. Key discussions were expected to include the annual safeguarding update, portfolio reports on public safety and adults' services and health, and interim reports from overview and scrutiny committees. The council was also scheduled to consider the approval of the Council Tax Support Scheme for 2026-27, the setting of the Council Tax Base for the same year, and the appointment of Independent Persons to standards committees.

Ashington & Blyth Community Partnership - Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 6.00 pm

The Ashington & Blyth Community Partnership met to discuss sports development, regeneration projects, and a number of other local issues. The meeting was scheduled to include presentations on sports development in Ashington and Newbiggin, as well as the Blyth Celebrates and Animating Ashington projects. Councillors were also asked to nominate members for appointment to outside bodies.

The Northumberland County Council Schools' Forum met virtually on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, to discuss several key issues impacting education in the region. These included updates on the national funding formula, a review of special educational needs (SEN) data, and a consultation on school funding. The forum was also scheduled to discuss communications from the Department for Education (DfE) and other organisations regarding special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) reforms.

County Council - Wednesday, 5th November, 2025 2.00 pm

The agenda for Northumberland County Council's meeting on 5 November 2025 included discussion of the Berwick Maltings Theatre project, annual reports from several cabinet members, an annual report from the Audit Committee, an interim report from the Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and a review of polling districts and polling places. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss political proportionality on the council and proposed updates to the constitution.
