The Planning Committee is responsible for making decisions on planning applications for Nottingham, except for those handled by the full Council or the Executive Board. It specifically reviews applications that are complex, sensitive, significantly deviate from the City Council's Development Plan, or have received formal objections. The committee also provides consultation to the Executive Board during the drafting of the Development Plan, which is later approved by the full Council.
