About

The Adults Social Care and Health Scrutiny Board scrutinises the Council's efforts to ensure residents are healthy, safe, and well-supported, focusing on adult services, public health, and the care of vulnerable individuals.

It monitors progress in improving health, lifestyles, and care quality, and ensures effective collaboration between the Council and health organisations. The Board reviews the provision of health and social care services to promote equal access, reduce health inequalities, and achieve optimal outcomes for local people. It has legal responsibilities to review health service planning and provision, request reports and make recommendations to NHS bodies, and respond to significant changes or consultations.
