About
The Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for assessing the health needs of Oldham's population and developing strategies to improve local health and wellbeing. It prepares and publishes the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and the Oldham Locality Plan, and approves the Better Care Fund Plan for submission to NHS England. The board identifies and addresses health inequalities, ensuring public services collaborate for community benefit. It also reviews plans for protecting and improving health, evaluates pharmaceutical service needs, and oversees local safeguarding arrangements, including the Child Death Oversight Panel for Bury, Oldham, and Rochdale.
