About

The Cabinet is Oldham Council's executive decision-making body, comprising the Leader and eight appointed members, each with specific service portfolios. It is responsible for developing and implementing the Council's policy, performance, and budget framework.

Cabinet makes key executive decisions, which are generally made public but can be held in private if discussing information that could prejudice the public interest, such as land values or contract details. Decisions are subject to a 'call-in' process unless exempt. The Forward Plan, published monthly, lists key decisions expected within the next four months.
