Purpose

Approval to tender and award multiple
contracts ( up to 3) for the collection, transport and disposal of
leachate from the closed landfills at Dean Pit, Dix Pit and Oakey
Wood for a period of 3 years and potential extension of up to a
further 3 years.

Content

The Cabinet Member is RECOMMENDED to:
 
a) Approve procurement (up to 3 contracts) for
the collection, transport and
treatment of leachate generated from the
following landfill sites:
i. Dean Pit
ii. Dix Pit
iii. Oakley Wood
 
b) Delegate the contract award and any
negotiations with our contractors,
Fomento de Construcciones y Conrates (known as FCC Environment UK
Limited, in connection with the contract for
Dix Pit), to the Director of
Environment & Highways.
