Cabinet Member for Transport Management decided on 20 June 2024 to support the allocation of an additional £5m for Highway Maintenance into the Highway Asset Management Plan capital programme and its distribution across various programmes. The £5m will be distributed to Surface Treatments (£2m), Traffic Management Asset Maintenance (£500k), Structural Highway Improvements (£1.8m), Carriageways (£500k), and Footway & Cycleways (£200k), delivered through the existing Highways Partnership Contract with Milestone Infrastructure.
