Purpose
To seek approval to dispose of the
council-owned asset known as the New England Complex, located on
Lincoln Road, Peterborough
Decision
Cabinet RESOLVED to:
1. Note the Scrutiny Committee
referral and the additional information now provided in this report
and its appendices.
2. Authorise the disposal of the
Council’s freehold interest in the New England Complex with
the benefit of the additional and original detail to the
preferred
bidder, subject to:
a. appropriate transitional
provisions for existing tenants; and
b. compliance with statutory
duties and legal advice.
3. Note and adopt the Equality
Impact Assessment at Appendix F of the
Exempt Annex as part of the formal
decision record and confirm that due
regard has been given to the
Public Sector Equality Duty under section 149
of the Equality Act
2010.
4. Delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Place and Economy in
conjunction with both the
Executive Director of Corporate Services and
Section 151 Officer and the
Director of Legal and Governance and
Monitoring Officer to take all
necessary steps to complete the disposal.
