Cabinet RESOLVED to:
- Note the results of the procurement process that has been undertaken as
set out within the report.
- Authorise the award of a contract to The British Red Cross Society (charity
number 220949) for a total term of five years (i.e. an initial period of three
years with an option to extend up to two years in increments of 12 months),
commencing on the 1 May 2026, with an estimated annual value of
£148,042, total maximum contract value £740,210, subject to uplift(s) to
provide the Council’s Discharge Support Service.
- Grant delegated authority to the Executive Director Adult Services, to:
a. Exercise and invoke the optional contract extensions, in accordance
with the contract provisions.
b. Award an uplift of the annual contract value, in line with Peterborough
City Council’s Adult Social Care uplift strategy.
