Purpose
Authority to put in a bid for the DEFRA grant, award to successful bidder following a procurement exercise, conditional upon that grant being awarded. Also to have delegated authority to the Director to award the contract to the successful bidder if and subject to the DEFRA grant being made.
Decision
The Cabinet Member:
Approved Peterborough City Council (the Council) to accept grant funding from Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in order to facilitate Flag Fen Western Causeway archaeological investigation works and enter into the necessary grant funding agreement up to the sum of £696,498.00.
Approved the Council to undertake a procurement process for delivery of Flag Fen Western Causeway archaeological investigation works.
Delegated authority to the Executive Director of Place and Economy, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment, Councillor Ann Shaheed (in capacity as the appointed representative for the interests of Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery Trust), the Director of Law and Governance and the Executive Director of Corporate Services to award the contract to the successful bidder for delivery of Flag Fen Western Causeway archaeological investigation works for a value of up to £696,498.00.
