Corporate Parenting Board

The Corporate Parenting Board advises the Council on its responsibilities towards children in its care. It works to raise awareness among councillors about corporate parenting and develops strategies to meet the needs of these children, including those leaving care. The Board reviews and recommends changes to the Council's Corporate Parenting Policy and practices to ensure the education, health, and social welfare of looked-after children are safeguarded and promoted. It also reviews arrangements for visits to children in care and children's homes.
