Purpose

This report introduces the draft Greenspaces
Strategy which outlines the purpose and priorities of the
Greenspace Strategy for adoption.

RESOLVED –
that Executive AGREED to:
 
(i)            
Approve the draft Greenspaces Strategy for public
consultation.
 
(ii)          
Delegate arrangements for the public consultation to the Head of
Greenspaces, Leisure & Culture in consultation with the
Portfolio Holder for Sustainability and Leisure.
 
(iii)        
Note that it will receive a further report in October 2025
post-consultation, presenting the public consultation’s
findings and any proposed amendments to the draft Strategy, along
with seeking final approval to the Greenspaces Strategy.
 
(iv)        
Approve that the Head of Greenspaces, Leisure & Culture can
correct any minor factual changes in the draft Greenspaces Strategy
ahead of public consultation, where they do not fundamentally
change the position of the draft document.
