Purpose

To agree the Surrey Hills Management Plan
2025-2030 to fulfil the statutory duty on local authorities under
the Countryside and Rights of Way Act (2000) to prepare every five
years a Management Plan for any National Landscape (formerly known
as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty AONB) within their
boundaries.

Decision

RESOLVED –
that the Executive agreed to:
 
(i)            
Adopt the Surrey Hills Management Plan for the period 2025-2030
as set out in Annex 1.
(ii)          
Authorise the Head of Planning and Regulatory Services, in
consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Place, Planning and
Regulatory Services, to make any necessary additional minor changes
to the Management Plan before final publication.
