Purpose

The report responds to the Motion on
Affordable Housing referred to Executive by Council on 21 September
2023.

Decision

RESOLVED –
that the Executive:
 
(i)            
Recognise the continuing need for additional affordable housing
for local people and the delivery of them by the Council, and is
committed to progressing a new Development Strategy for 2025
– 2030 to achieve this alongside other Council facilities and
schemes; and
(ii)          
Is committed to continuing to work closely with Registered
Providers and others to deliver additional affordable
housing.
