Special Standing Committee on Heathrow

Purpose   To provide a forum to work on issues relating to Heathrow Airport that affect the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.   Functions   ·  To monitor and report on use of and proposals for the development of Heathrow Airport and its impact on the local environment; ·  To advise on national policy developments; ·  To recommend ways of resisting any expansion in the use of the airport and; ·  To seek reductions in traffic movements, especially at night.
