Purpose

The London Mayor is consulting on the
high-level ‘Towards a new London Plan’ to inform
development of the London Plan. The report considers the
Council’s response to the consultation.

Content

RESOLVED: that the
committee,
 
1. 
Delegate authority to the Interim Director of Place to agree
the final response on behalf of the Council to the Mayor's
consultation on the new London Plan, in consultation with the Chair
of the Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports
Committee.
2. 
Delegate authority to the Interim Director of Place to agree
the future response on behalf of the Council to the Mayor's
consultation on the next stage of the new London Plan, in
consultation with the Chair of the Environment, Sustainability,
Culture and Sports Committee.
3. 
Note that further work and allocation of resource within the
existing Spatial Planning and Design revenue budget may be
necessary to support the Council's position and enable further
responses to opportunities to inform the preparation of the London
Plan.
