Purpose

To report the results of a public consultation
regarding a proposal to improve public realm including enhanced
pavement improvements at the junction of Merthyr Terrace with
Castelnau.

Content

The Executive Director of Environment and
Community Services:

i) Notes the results of the consultation as outlined in section 7
of the report.
ii) Following discussion with ward Councillors, agrees to proceed
with the scheme as consulted on and as shown in the drawing in
APPENDIX B.
iii) Agrees to make orders under Sections 6, 46 and 49 of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the removal of the fire
gate/access, the amends to the yellow line restrictions, the
removal of the disabled bay and the loss of one parking bay.
