Purpose

To award funding to Citizens Advice Richmond
to deliver a two-year pilot project supporting residents to improve
their financial resilience. This includes the employment of two
‘navigators’ working directly with and advocating on
behalf of high-need households to help them move to an improved
financial position in the long term and prevent them from needing
to access crisis support.

Content

The Executive Director of Finance has agreed
to award £230,000 to Citizens Advice Richmond to deliver the
‘Financial Resilience Navigators project’ over two
years.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 - To fund Citizens Advice Richmond to
deliver this project.
Option 2 - To deliver this project 'in house' by Richmond
Council.
Option 3 - To not run this project.
