Purpose
To seek approval to introduce elements of
London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBH&F) cycling and
walking improvement scheme that fall partly on LBRuT highway
network.
Content
The SSA Executive Director of Environment and
Community Services:
i) Notes the general arrangements for the London Borough of
Hammersmith & Fulham (LBH&F) improvement scheme as shown on
the plans at Appendix A;
ii) Approves LBRuT to enter into an agreement with LBH&F for an
Improvement Works Agreement pursuant to S.8 of the Highways Act,
1980 (to allow LBH&F and its contractors to work on LBRuT
Highway);
iii) Approves the removal of existing redundant northbound
Castelnau Bus Lane, north of its junction with Lonsdale Road, on an
experimental basis under Section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984. This will enable a mandatory cycle lane to be introduced
in its place; and
iv) Approves LBH&F making an Anti-Terrorism Traffic Regulation
Order (ATTROs) under Section 22C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984.
