Purpose

This report considers the outcome of a statutory consultation in relation to one way working on Third Cross Road Twickenham which was implemented under an Experimental Traffic Management Order. The review considers resident representation, officer observation and before/after traffic survey data.

Decision

The SSA Executive Director of Growth and Place:

i) Notes the representations received during the statutory consultation period as outlined in APPENDIX C, with officer responses.

ii) Agrees to make permanent the one way working and contra flow cycle lane under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

iii) Agrees to a review of the existing traffic island/speed cushion arrangement mid-way along Third Cross Road, noting that this will be subject to detailed design, consultation and funding.
