Hampton Swimming Pool, Bushy Park - Twenty-year backstop guarantee for licence agreement
January 16, 2024 Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sports Committee (Committee) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The Council’s agreement is sought for a
continuation of the covenant to undertake site reinstatement works
in the event that the Hampton Pool Trust fails to comply with its
licence obligations in that respect. This is a fundamental
component to facilitate the progress of the proposed 20-year
licence from Royal Parks. A condition of the agreement for granting
the 1985 and all subsequent licences to Hampton Pool Limited was
that the Council would act as a guarantor to return the pool site
to park land should Hampton Pool Limited/Hampton Pool Trust fail to
do so.
