Purpose

TfL London Buses have approached the Council,
in its role as highway authority, to make changes to the existing
BUS STOP & BUS STAND on Mortlake High Street for operational
reasons. The existing road markings do not comply with Regulations
and the clearway signage is inconsistent. This can lead to LBRUT
enforcement issues and operational issues for TfL London
Buses.

The SSA Director of Environment and Community
Services:

i) approves the introduction of BUS STAND clearway restriction
operating at all times ‘except for local buses’

ii) notes the carriageway lining changes to ‘separate’
the BUS STAND & BUS STOP so the markings comply with
Regulations as per plan attached at Annex A.
