RESOLVED:
That the following recommendations be AGREED –
- Information and publicity for the Community Toilet Scheme is refreshed and further on and off-line channels are included.
- The spread of facilities across the borough should include equitable access to wheelchair accessible facilities and changing facilities.
- A more proactive approach is taken from the team responsible for the scheme in conducting in-person visits to potential participating venues, prioritising areas of less provision.
- Progress on the delivery of facilities should be monitored through the Prevention Framework delivery mechanism.
- To recommend to the Finance, Policy and Resources Committee that a positive revenue budget addition of £22,000 in 2023/24 only be approved, funded from the central contingency budget, with management of the scheme and officer recruitment as described in paragraph 3.4 of the report.
