Purpose

Regular update on COLC response - assumed to
go to each committee cycle for the foreseeable future. To include
any proposals for the distribution of funding to residents affected
by the cost-of-living crisis in order to seek approval

Content

That Committee resolved:
 
a)   To note the continued response
of the Council to help residents and businesses through the ongoing
cost of living crisis, including support over winter 2023/24;
 
b)   To note the allocations of
£2.59m from the Council’s Emergency Funding Reserve, to
fund the initiatives summarised in Appendix 1;
 
c)   To note the spend to 31st
March 2024 for Tranche 4 of the Household Support Fund, as outlined
at paragraphs 46 to 53;
 
d)   To agree the proposals for
Household Support Fund Tranche 5 and continuation of support until
the 31st March 2025 in the absence of
further Government funding (paragraphs 54- 60).
