RESOLVED that the Transport & Air
Quality Committee

i.
Note the outcome from the public consultation and the results of
the recent 20mph review and collision analysis on London Road.

ii.
Considering the speed and collision reductions on the road in
recent years and recognising the existing funding available for the
scheme, agrees that a phased delivery approach is adopted for this
location at this time. This will deliver the two new zebra
crossings with associated pavement widening works as outlined in
APPENDIX E.

iii.
Following the install of the crossings, the road will be further
monitored and consideration will then be given as to whether
additional pedestrian and speed reduction enhancements are required
to promote active travel.
